Okay, here we have both boys in the same chair wearing the same clothes at the same point in life--three months. (A side note to my mom, who would surgically attach warm socks to all babies if she could; don't worry--the socks were only off for the picture.)Certain differences are obvious; David has more hair and looks a little bit chubbier, although it is certainly close in the chubby department. But I was surprised at the similarities. I hadn't noticed before that they both seem to have the same chin. Or make that the same chins, since they are both definitely sporting the three month double chin. My photography skills are equally bad in both photos. I think they both have red eye.
David is starting to coo a little bit more. He doesn't babble as much as other babies at this point, but the doctor said that may be due to the acid reflux, as some babies with acid reflux are delayed a bit in their vocal development because they have painful, raw throats that makes it hurt to coo and talk. He talks the most when he is laying in his baby gym and babbles to the mirror and little black and white rings dangling above his head. David is mildly interested in ceiling fans but doesn't have nearly the obsession with them that AJ did at the same age. Perhaps the biggest difference is that David is much more able to self-soothe, probably due to the fact that he likes a pacifier. As soon as it goes in his mouth, you can see his body relax. As a result, I *love* the pacifier.
