CO Cousins

We just returned from a visit to our cousins in Colorado and survived the 13 hour car ride (each way!)  Even a year ago this would not have been possible with the kids' ages, but we are starting to crest over the point to where we can do a road trip of this length.  (Washington DC, here we come!) It was such a joy to watch the cousins play together.  My kiddos did ski school for the first time and survived a full day.  Since Joe and I had some free time on our hands we went skiing with my niece, V, and Uncle Brett and V very quickly said "come on, Auntie LaLa!" as she skiied circles around me.  I love that my nieces are going to grow up with skiing as natural to them as walking.

Someone likes Nutella for breakfast, like her Papa.

Both boys had activities at school in March to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss.  His books are a fan favorite in our house.  We are at the point where we have read most of what the library has to offer for Dr. Seuss books and are rediscovering some old favorites.  It is fun the second time around because AJ is now at the point where he can read some of them to us.  And David is still convinced that he can read Mississippi (with his eyes literally closed!)
