Natural Sellers

The kids have all been obsessed lately with wanting to open a lemonade stand.  I can't put my finger on where they got the idea, but they are convinced that having a lemonade stand is going to make them filthy, stinking rich.  The first day of spring break I finally broke down and agreed to help them get supplies, ask the neighbor on the corner lot to use his yard (better traffic patterns!) and set up.  I was impressed with their determination and their enthusiasm. They would run in circles yelling "Get your lemonade here!" to every walker, jogger, biker and car that passed our way.  But fewer stopped than I would have hoped.  Mental note to self to make the time to stop every time for the kids selling lemonade.  I know I have not always done this, and I realize now how much it means to them.  After two full hours, they had made about $11, which they thought was a crazy insane amount of cash.  I didn't have the heart to explain to them that they owed me $10 in supplies.  That will be the lesson for our next lemonade stand outing.
